In light of the rapidly unfolding situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, and further to today’s public health announcement* by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, BigFive Digital has taken the decision to postpone BigFive Summit 2020, scheduled for 18-20 May in Cape Town.
We fully intend to reschedule the event in Cape Town to a later date in 2020, and we are presently evaluating our options, while consulting with key stakeholders, other event organisers, and our peer associations. We will make a further announcement just as soon as we have details to share with you.
All registered Summit delegates will have their tickets transferred to the new event once it has been rescheduled.
BigFive Digital remains committed to live networking events as a cornerstone of our operation. This crisis will pass, and when it does, the digital media and technology sector will be hungry for the knowledge-sharing, networking, and partnership development that only live events can provide. When that time arrives, we will be ready to support this ecosystem as we all get back on our feet.
In the interim, we encourage all of you to treat this public health crisis with appropriate gravity. Practice social distancing, work remotely if you can, comply with your local public health officials, be discerning about the information you consume, and keep washing your hands.
We are all in this together. Be safe.
